Judge Finds German Woman Guilty of Raping Eight Pakistani Muslim Men

Hello STER readers, one of our readers sent this article to me. I thought I should share it with you (though it's not new) and yea, you will be startled! Come to think of it, is religion promoting rape? Read more...

In the City of Wassenberg in Western Germany a woman has been found guilty of seducing and raping eight men in the first case of its kind in Europe. Maria Heidelsohn aged 18 alleges that on the afternoon of August 23rd she was pulled away by eight men from the porch she was sun bathing on and carried into a small shed in which she was brutally and repeatedly gang raped. Heidelsohn alleges that she cried for help repeatedly until she was bound and gagged, she then claims that she was beaten severely and both of her arms and one leg were broken.

Wassenbeg Police Chief Abdullah Al Hussein contends that there is no evidence Heidelsohn did not injure herself or ask a friend to injure her in order to attempt to frame up her alleged attackers. The Police Chief noted that no male adult Muslim men saw the attack occur to corroborate her story despite the area being largely Muslim. In the large German town new legislation passed overwhelmingly last year stipulates that four adult male Muslim witnesses are necessary in order to corroborate any charges made by a woman in accordance with traditional Islamic jurisprudence.

Somalia Court Sentences "Rape Victim"

This is unbelievable! A rape victim was sentenced to six months imprisonment and she's not allowed to leave Mogadishu! Crazy right? Read more...

According to BBC News, a 19-year-old woman who alleged she was raped has been given a suspended jail sentence by a court in Somalia.

The woman, who spent three weeks in pre-trial detention, was convicted of defamation and lying and told she could not leave Mogadishu. A journalist who reported her story was also convicted of the same offence.

The two men accused of raping the woman have not been brought before a court.

The Somali government previously said sexual violence was unacceptable.

#Nigeria: Married Man Flogged in an Open Court for Sexually Abusing a Minor

Can someone get me a flight to Abuja right away??? Lol! Seriously, I actually want to go flog those that flogged that man! A married man attempted to rape a MINOR and all they could do was to flog him? What has that got to do with justice? You don't believe me, oyaah see the story below...
A commercial motorcyclist in the Federal Capital Territory has been flogged in open court for attempting to rape an underaged girl.
Gabaduhu Saidu, 22, had the punishment meted out to him yesterday by an Upper Area Court in Abuja.

Video: Sexually Abused Children in Light of Hope Orphanage Cry Out for Justice!

Please click HERE to watch the video

Children in Light of Hope Orphanage are being sexually abused by the Director of the Orphanage (who they call 'Pastor,' but at this point, we don't care!) Mr Atunde. Two children from the orphanage reported that Mr Atunde had sexually abused them for more than 3 years. The man was arrested and the children taken out of the orphanage. The case is presently in court, but it seems like nothing is being done. Barely two weeks after Project Alert, an organization advocating against violence against women and girls, took the girls in their shelter, the Ogun State government returned the girls back to the (abusive) shelter on some baseless reasons. Mr Tunde, who sexually abuses these girls in his orphanage has been granted bail (by who?) and is now punishing these girls for speaking out. This sexual abuser walks free, while the Ogun State Government Ministry of Women Affairs is quite about the case. Project Alert has asked us to help with creating more awareness about the case and we implore you to help us in this fight for JUSTICE! Please join us in screaming out loud on Facebook, Twitter and in the media to ensure that justice is served. Suggestions on plausible tactics to use will be very much appreciated. Thank you!

#Kenyan Women Fight for Justice As Rapists Are Sentenced to Cut Grass

News reaching us is that over a million furious campaigners have signed a petition demanding justice after three men accused of brutally gang-raping a Kenyan school girl were ordered to cut grass as punishment.

The ferocious attack on the girl and lack of action towards those who carried it out has sparked outrage in the country. The girl is now wheelchair-bound with a broken back, caused either by the beating or by being hurled down into the pit, and also suffered serious internal injuries from the rape.

The 16-year-old girl was reportedly attacked, beaten and then raped by six men as she returned from her grandfather's funeral in western Kenya in June, before the gang dumped her, bleeding and unconscious, in a deep sewage ditch.

#Nigeria: The Oba, His Libido and The Law

On October 8, an Osun High Court discharged and acquitted Oba Adebukola Alii, the Alowa of llowa-Ijesa, Osun State, of rape charges.

But the same court lampooned the accused for sexual rascality that brought shame to himself, his family and his kingdom.

The court said the Oba was morally culpable. But by law, he was in the clear: it had insufficient evidence to nail him for rape.

If indeed the law is codified morality, then that “dual” judgment leaves a bitter taste in the mouth.

The court lamented the absence, as damning evidence, of stained bed sheets (which the accused would have gleefully surrendered), tom underpants and medical reports confirming forced penetration – and possible bruises – to prove rape.

Anonymous Demands Investigation Into Daisy Coleman's Sexual Assault Case

Remember the girl we posted about yesterday, whose family were evicted from their home for reporting a rape case. Read about it HERE. News reaching us is that anonymous –– a loosely associated international network of activists and hacktivists –– have called for an investigation on the case.

Anonymous has turned its many watchful eyes on another small town scandal, this one in Maryville, Mo.

"There's a multitude of anons and angry people alike planning a course of action as we speak for Maryville," said Deric Lostutter, aka RealKYAnonymous, who played an instrumental role in Anonymous' crusade in the Steubenville rape case. "We are watching. Always."

Lostutter also sent The Huffington Post a one-page statement that had been posted online Monday.

#RapeCulture: 14YO and Her Family Get Evicted from Their Home for Reporting a Rape Case

A 14-year-old girl who accused a high school football player of rape was suspended from the cheerleading squad and twice attempted suicide.

After a 14-year-old girl accused a popular football player of rape, she and her family were driven from their small US town and their house mysteriously burned down.

Daisy Coleman, the alleged victim, has been named in publications and broadcasts with the permission of her mother Melinda, in order to draw attention to the case, the Kansas City Star reports.

In January 2012, in the 12,000-person Missouri town of Maryville, Daisy Coleman reported she had been raped by a popular 17-year-old boy from her school. She told police she was invited to a party where she had so much alcohol she could not stand, and had sex with the boy. The incident was partly filmed by one of the alleged perpetrator’s friends on his phone.

Daisy’s best friend, aged 13, also had sex with a 15-year-old boy. She told police she went into a bedroom with the 15-year-old boy, who was an acquaintance. The case was handled in juvenile court, but the Star accessed police records of his interview, in which he said although the girl said “no” multiple times, he undressed her, put a condom on and had sex with her.

#Nigeria: 30YO Bags Three-Month Jail Term over Rape of Minor

I firmly do not support sentencing a sexual offender to a three months jail term. How will this judgement deter others from engaging in raping a girl child? How come murderers get more severe punishment for their acts while rapists get mere punishment? In order to fight rape in our society, we need stringent laws.

A Zone 2 Wuse Magistrates’ Court in Abuja last week, sentenced Seyi Balogun, 30, of Zehidu Village, Lugbe, Abuja, to three months in prison for sexually assaulting a minor.

The Senior Magistrate, Mrs. Grace Adebayo-Eisape, sentenced Balogun without an option of fine.

Adebayo-Sisape condemned the action of the convict and said the sentence was to deter others.

#Nigeria –– A Court in #Makurdi Remands Applicant in Prison

A Makurdi Magistrates’ Court on Wednesday remanded an applicant, Daniel Iorkua, 26, in prison over an allegation that he raped an 11-year-old girl.

Iorkua, who lived in Nyon Layout, Gboko Road, was ordered to be remanded in prison custody after the court heard the prosecution.

The prosecuting police officer, Inspector Moses Akoo, told the court that one Terna Fakaa had reported the case at the State Criminal Investigation Department, Makurdi, on September 20, 2013.

He said that the complainant stated that the accused, who was his neighbour, forcefully had sexual intercourse with his 11-year-old ward.

#Nigeria –– How Justice Oyejide Falola Freed Osun Monarch of Rape Charge

My people this one pass me ooo. I don't know what song to sing to this situation. It's preposterous. Please read and leave your comments, I need to know your thoughts on this. Thanks to our lovely readers for sending this to me on twitter.

Alowa of Ilowa-Ijesa in Obokun Local Government Area of Osun State, Oba Adebukola Alli, who had been standing trial over alleged rape of a former National Youth Service Corps, NYSC, member, Miss Helen Okpara for the past three years, yesterday, left the court premises a free man as Justice Oyejide Falola of an Osun State High Court sitting in Ikirun discharged and acquitted him.

Justice Falola, in his judgment, held that the complainant failed to show to the court bruises as evidence that she was raped, noting that the prosecutor also failed to show to the court her torn clothes as she had claimed in her submissions before the court.

Barbaric! Father Claims He Had Sex with His Daughters to Save Them from Premature Death

It is appalling when it is being said that a full grown man rapes an innocent girl. What then can we say of a father who believes in some archaic tradition of sleeping with his daughters to prevent premature death. Yes, his very own blood! The shocking revelation is when his wife, the biological mother of these children, asked that he shouldn't be prosecuted as this is a family matter! Mo gbe! Read the full story...

#Nigeria –– 18YO Girl Gang-Raped to Death by Eight Coffin Makers in Anambra

The rate at which Nigerian girls are being raped is appalling. When is this menace going to stop? When will our girls stop getting defiled? When will the justice system prompt into action to bring (deserved) justice on perpetrators? These are the questions I'm asking as I read the story of this innocent child.
