'I Fought for My Life… And Won' by Habiba Olawale

This is of those write ups that will get you wanting to read to the end. This is another beautiful article from the stable of @abdulhabiba12. If you've missed some of her write ups, read them HERE, HERE and HERE. We hope this inspires other rape survivors. Read more...

I was gang raped 15years ago, when I was 13 years old.

Ever since that day 15years ago, I have been intensely aware of the misconceptions people have about rape, about those who rape and those who survive rape. I have also been aware of the stigma that attaches to survivors. Time and again, people have hinted that perhaps death would have been better than the loss of that precious“virginity.” I refuse to accept this. My life is worth too much to me.

How I was Raped by a Woman -- A Man Tells His Story

This isn't a typical rape story as you are used to. This is rare but it doesn't remove the fact that it does exist. A man has narrated how he was a rape victim. Read more after the cut

I’m not your usual victim, nor was my attacker your usual rapist. I’m one of the 9% of people who get raped who are male. And one of the 1% who was raped by a woman. I was in my early 20s, and talking online to a woman on the internet. We kind of hit it off. I decided to do cross country vacation, and she suggested I stop by, spend a few days to a week at her school, that I could ‘crash’ in her apartment before resuming my trip. That sounded ok, so when the time came, I packed up and started my road trip. In time, I was near her town, so I drove on in, gave her a phone call to get directions on just where in town her apartment was, and drove on over.

Movie: Watch "I Spit On Your Grave 2"

Hello guyz! So we gave you the link to watch 'I Spit On Your Grave' HERE and you said you loved it. Well, you better be ready to watch "I Spit On Your Grave 2." This second part is about Katie,  a beautiful girl in NY, who is trying to make it in the cutthroat world of modelling. Not having enough money to pay for a professional photo shoot, she accepts a free offer to have new photos taken for her portfolio, but the experience immediately turned into an unthinkable nightmare. She was severely beaten, battered, bruised and broken by 3 brothers (the photographers) and amazingly their MOTHER! Abeg is it a bad thing to like free things, hehehe... Well, she didn't only have to fight to survive, but to ultimately find the strength to exact her brutal revenge. She came back for a REVENGE! This is the story of another rape survivor.

You would have had to pay to watch this movie in a cinema, but we are giving the link out for free (just for you special people)! This is not just for entertainment, it's to enlighten and encourage you to preach the need to stop rape.

Watch the movie HERE. Please don't watch if you are below 21.

#Nigeria: My Uncle Raped Me of My Virginity! True Life Story

My name is "Courage" and I am 20 years old. I am a rape survivor and this is my story. In January 2012, I felt the biggest change was coming into my life, hmm... I was right but not as I presumed. My 'ex' uncle (as I would refer to him now) arrived in Nigeria and wanted me to travel abroad with him so I could further my education, to be honest, my mum was extremely sceptical about me going with him because she was trying to protect me from being abused (generally), my family and I later considered that I could go with him basically because he was staying with his wife and 5 years old son.

I felt I could be safe with him because he seemed to be a responsible man, in fact, he kept reminding me then that he had a child my age (from his previous marriage) so he considered me to be his daughter. From that moment, I took him as my dad and referred to him as 'daddy.' Months passed and my traveling processing was completed, I was overjoyed thinking I would finally get to purse my dreams of becoming a medical doctor.

On the 5th of May 2012, I left Nigeria with him, the following day we got to the 'promise land' (as I referred to it then). We got to his house and I saw his wife and son, everything seemed perfect, I was of my best behavior so I had little or no issues with his wife. I even helped his little son with his academics and did all the house chores, did I mention anything about my school? NO! because nothing was done.

A Survivor Speaks Out: How I Left Lagos for Benin and Was Raped Repeatedly by a Trusted Male Friend

A friend of mine (names withheld) reached me and invited me to come to Benin City for an event. I have known him since 2011 so I thought nothing of it. Like no harm can be done after all we go way back and stuff. So I booked my ticket from Lagos and I flew to Benin. The event took place on the 13th, which was a Sunday and we went to a hotel in GRA Benin to chill afterwards. He had a Suite there. We were with other friends, we all talked, laughed, gisted and all until about 10 p.m. Everyone started leaving gradually, I wanted to call a cab to take me to my own hotel, but he kept on insisting on dropping me. I was like it is even better, I would save my cab fare.

So I had to wait for everybody to leave before he could drop me. Every body finally left and I was about to stand up to leave but he kept on insisting that I should stay and I kept on saying it was late that I have to travel back to Lagos the following day because of work.

#RapeCulture: 14YO and Her Family Get Evicted from Their Home for Reporting a Rape Case

A 14-year-old girl who accused a high school football player of rape was suspended from the cheerleading squad and twice attempted suicide.

After a 14-year-old girl accused a popular football player of rape, she and her family were driven from their small US town and their house mysteriously burned down.

Daisy Coleman, the alleged victim, has been named in publications and broadcasts with the permission of her mother Melinda, in order to draw attention to the case, the Kansas City Star reports.

In January 2012, in the 12,000-person Missouri town of Maryville, Daisy Coleman reported she had been raped by a popular 17-year-old boy from her school. She told police she was invited to a party where she had so much alcohol she could not stand, and had sex with the boy. The incident was partly filmed by one of the alleged perpetrator’s friends on his phone.

Daisy’s best friend, aged 13, also had sex with a 15-year-old boy. She told police she went into a bedroom with the 15-year-old boy, who was an acquaintance. The case was handled in juvenile court, but the Star accessed police records of his interview, in which he said although the girl said “no” multiple times, he undressed her, put a condom on and had sex with her.
