An Open Letter to Men

Dear men,

God made you strong, prestigious, courageous and tolerant; you are independent, you strive to make it, and you never get tired of working hard because you know you have no one to rely on but God. You have strength in you that cannot be found in any woman. I cannot overemphasize how uniquely you have been made by the creator. That is why you dominate more, God made you the leader!

I am not writing this letter just to praise you but to remind you of who you are. You are not weak but strong. It appears that many men have lost their strength and prestige. I know exactly what I am mean by that, you will understand better as you read further. If you are a man and you can't overlook certain things and learn to forgive, you might have made some mistakes by misusing the strength God has given to you.

A criminal complaint has charged 13 people with the crime of smuggling dozens of women into the United States and forcing them into prostitution. Some of the defendants were to appear wednesday in federal court in Manhattan to face multiple counts including sex trafficking and interstate transportation for prostitution.

The ring “lured their unsuspecting victims to the United States and then consigned them to a living hell,” US Attorney Preet Bharara said in a statement.

The investigation was among several aimed at “blockading the repugnant sex trafficking corridor” used to exploit victims from Tenancingo Mexico, said James Hayes, head of Immigration and Customs Enforcement in New York.

We have the likes of Basketmouth, Bovi, Akpororo, who are really funny and I believe have a vital tool that can contribute to #EndRape. During some of their shows, they can make jokes centered around rape and just yarb (insult) rapists. I'm sure it will hurt some of them and maybe, just maybe; it will trigger their conscience. Well, since they haven't thought of the idea, a comedy group in #India, fed up with rampant victim-blaming demonstrated towards women who've been raped, decided to fight back — with comedy.
