Half of Men Interviewed Said They Had Used Violence Against a Partner

The issue of violence against women and girls cannot be overemphasized. A recent survey carried out by the UN in Asia and the Pacific shows that about half of the men interviewed agreed to have used violence against a partner. The report "Why Do Some Men Use Violence Against Women and How Can We Prevent It? Quantitative Findings from the United Nations Multi-country Study on Men and Violence in Asia and the Pacific," will be launched on September 10, 2013. You can download a full report, or summary of the report here.
